MDACI is also engaged in the business of providing equity investment also called equity contribution up to 85% of the total investment capital for the construction of Power plants (Coal Power Plant (CPP), Gas Power plant (GPP), Hydroelectric Power Plant (HPP), Biomass Power Plant (BPP), Waste Incinerating Power Plant (WIPP) , Wind Farm Power Plant (WFPP), and Solar Field Power Plant (SFPP)). Our supply capacity varies from 1 to 2,000MWh per Plant. Our maximum generation unit is 300MWh per unit. Energy consumption is on the up worldwide and, despite all the progress made in renewables, highly efficient, fossil-fired power plants will have to ensure dependable power supplies in the foreseeable future. In Nigeria only, extensive investment is being developed by MDA CAPITAL INVEST, a.s., GAZELLE ENERGY LIMITED, BGL PLC/BGL PRIVATE EQUITY LIMITED, etc.: a total capacity of 15,000MWh must be generated and added to the national grid by 2020. This is part of our mission for Nigeria and our commitment to the vision 2020 of the Federal Government of Nigeria.

MDACI and Partners are also developing independent Power Project in the other countries of West Africa, North Africa, and the Central and South Africa. In Cameroon, a 75MWh Hydroelectric Power plant (HPP) is being development in partnership with Electromontaza Energy Limited, Adamawa State Government and the Government of the republic of Cameroon, represented by the Ministry of Energy. We are also being contracted by the Government of Cameroon for the Reconstruction and upgrading of Lagdo Hydroelectric Dam. It has a capacity of 84 MW, but just one of its four turbines is working. The Lagdo dam was built by China International Water and Electric Corp in the late 1970s to supply electricity to northern Cameroon and allow irrigation of some 15,000 hectares of croplands. Under this Partnership, the Adamawa State Government is seeking to overtake 30MWh that will be supplied through a new HV Transmission lines network of 110KV/132KV of 162km.

Our researchers are pursuing a vision that could become reality in the next decade: the climate friendly power plant. The prerequisite is, however, that the efficiency of the power plant is increased, because all processes to avoid CO2 emissions lower the efficiency of the plants. On the road there, several innovations are already close to market maturity.
