Transport Systems and Technologies

MDACI provides advanced transport systems consisting of ground ( buses, trains, etc.), air (Helicopters, planes, etc.) and sea (boats, ships, and luxurious yachts, etc.) vehicles to support the development of city, intercity and international transport systems.

MDACI is aware of the fact that cities are the main locations of business activities. Hence they play an important role in economic development. However given the high concentrated development in urban areas, many cities have serious traffic problems and negative environmental impacts, such as noise and air pollution. These negative factors reduce the economic competitiveness of a city and make its life quality declined. The way to solve and balance the condition became a demanding issue in the recent years.

Transportation is a service that must be utilized immediately since it cannot be stored. Mobility must occur over transport infrastructures, providing a transport supply.

Without movements infrastructures would be useless and without infrastructures movements could not occur, or would not occur in a cost efficient manner. This interdependency can be considered according to two concepts, which are transport supply and demand.

Supply

The capacity of transportation infrastructures and modes, generally cover a geographically defined transport system and for a specific period of time. Supply is expressed in terms of infrastructures (capacity), services (frequency) and networks (coverage). Capacity is often assessed in static and dynamic terms. The number of passengers, volume (for liquids or containerized traffic), or mass (for freight) that can be transported per unit of time and space is commonly used to quantify transport supply.

Demand

Similar to transport supply, it is expressed in terms of number of people, volume, or tons per unit of time and space.

Knowing the relationship between the transport supply and demand, MDACI helps its clients and partners “to measure transport supply and demand for passengers or freight, using a simple statistical assessment method: The passenger-km (or passenger-mile) is a common measure expressing the realized passenger transport demand as it compares a transported quantity of passengers with a distance over which it gets carried. The ton-km (or ton-mile) is a common measure expressing the realized freight transport demand. Although both the passenger-km and ton-km are most commonly used to measure realized demand, the measure can equally apply for transport supply.”

For the development to implementation of any transportation systems, MDACI lays emphasis on the assessment of precise data related to a regulated or non-regulated transportation tariff, geography, demography, environmental impact, including techno-economic study for the project viability. Based on the readiness of these studies and data, and availability of investment securities and guarantees, MDACI and its financiers are always ready, willing and able to provide 85% of the total project cost for the implementation of the Project. For this equity contribution of 85%, MDACI shall always acquire an equity share of 70% of the total equity for a period of at least 99 years, renewable. Besides, MDACI shall always be responsible for the development, implementation and management of the Project.
