Age Restrictions Policies

1. 1. MDACI will only deliver an age-restricted item to the address of the Buyer provided on the shipping label, which can include the reception of a commercial, industrial or residential building.

   2. We take our responsibility in relation to the sale of age-restricted products extremely seriously. In order to confirm that the recipient is over 18 years, a valid ID Card provided with the latest photographic ID, a date of birth shall be required upon delivery for all age-restricted products. 

   3. The deliverer/driver will confirm electronically that age verification has been carried out  successfully I compliance with the provisions of  the Czech Data Protection Act   with (The Czech Republic's second data protection act – The Personal Data Processing Act 2019 (No. 110/2019 Coll.; hereinafter ZZOÚ) – is the implementation of the EU new legal framework: GDPR, Data Protection Directive 2016/680 (LED) & PNRD) and take all reasonable measures to keep your personal information confidential and secure. After full delivery, the Driver or Courier will not be able to access any of your personal data (e.g. date of birth) use to verify your age.

   4. The CRC Committee suggests that the minimum age for the purchase and consumption of alcohol should be 18 years (CRC General Comment No. 20, 2016). The Council recommendation on the drinking of alcohol by young people, in particular children and adolescents (2001/458/EC), clearly states that children should not be targeted by manufacturers and that regulatory control of retailing should be strengthened. In general, the same age requirements as those for purchasing alcohol apply.

   5. Delivery to a neighbour, locker, pick-up point or nominated safe place location is not available for these items. If there is nobody at the address aged 18 years or over, who can show valid photo identification and accept the package at the delivery address, the item will be returned to MDACI for re-delivery the following day.

   6. If your order is being delivered to a commercial, residential and industrial address, where there is a receptionist, concierge, or mail room attendant receiving your parcel, then they must provide a valid ID Card (Passport, National Identity Card or Driving License, etc), showing they are aged 18 or over. If they can't, then the parcel shall be returned to MDACI for re-delivery the following coming day.

B.  Delivery by Courier delivery Services

1. 1. MDACI’s age-restricted products may also be delivered by the following International Courier Delivery Service Providers (DHL, Czech Post, DPD, PPL, GEIS, TNT, and UPS, etc.). MDACI always cover the delivery of all its products with insurance at no extra cost to buyer’s indicated and into the Buyer’s hands to prevent re-delivery due to noncompliance with age restrictions or loss of products. Age verification shall always be satisfactorily carried out at collection by the buyer. Our Courier Delivery Service Providers shall ask to see a valid Identification Card of the Buyer. For example, if the Buyer is from the United States (US) and the Buyer (hereinafter referred to as the “recipient”) appears to be over 18 and under 21, then the products will not be delivered and shall be canceled. In case, before any delivery, the age verification shall always be satisfactorily carried out and confirmed.  Upon Each delivery of our age resctried products, the buyer's signature is always required.

   2. In the case of an unsuccessful delivery due to an age-restricted product, our aforementioned Courier Delivery Service Providers will leave a ‘notice for you’ and bring the products to the nearest post office for collection with an age verification check. Alternatively, you can use the information on the ‘notice’ left for you to contact the relevant Courier Delivery Service Provider and schedule a redelivery.

   3. The Identification Cards accepted by our Courier Delivery Service Providers include the following Identification Cards as provided in Art. A of this policy:

          • National Identity Card
          • Valid Driving License
          • A Biometric Immigration Document
          • A photographic identity card bearing a national Proof of Age Standard Scheme (PASS) hologram
          • A concessionary public transport (Bus, Tramway and Metro) (issued by a local authority)
