Main Contents of a Briefing Memo
- Purpose / Background. Clearly defines the need for the project and why it is being initiated and implemented.
- Objectives. Identifies specific goals, including time, cost, and quality targets.
- Scope & Deliverables. Outlines what will be delivered (or deliverables), along with boundaries on what is not included.
- Key Stakeholders & Team. Identifies the project manager and key players/Stakeholders.
- Constraints & Assumptions. Outlines limitations (e.g., budget, timeline). Milestones / Timeline: Key dates for project phases.
Purpose of a Briefing Memo
- Internal Communication. Used for communicating policies, procedures, or official business updates within the Project Company / Project Owner by the Project Lead Developer, MDACI.
